River City Pops was founded in 1997 and incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 2006. It is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 corporation in the state of Missouri.  Founder Jeanette Myers served as the group’s Artistic Director until she retired in 2012. Linda Blumenthal directed the group in 2013, and Sam Revilla became the ensemble’s Artistic Director and primary accompanist in 2014.

The Mission of River City Pops is to work exclusively toward exploring and creating innovative musical programs for a small group of adult singers. These programs are performed for a wide variety of audiences in the metropolitan St. Louis area, such as senior living communities, church and other philanthropic audiences, and charitable benefit events. RCP also offers St. Louis-area singers the opportunity to develop their vocal talents and to participate in musical events in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere through an open-audition process.

Our programs are provided with support from the Regional Arts Commission. Since 1985, the Regional Arts Commission has supported and fostered the arts in St. Louis City and County.
